I like both of these shots. The first one just has an interesting geometry to it.
The second one has the way-cool smiley face fireworks, although the shutter speed makes them look demonic.

They're both amazing. I actually saw the very end of the fireworks, as I was staying at my sister's apartment in San Francisco, although at the time, I didn't know what they were for...
I missed this entirely, but I'm planning to dowload the video broadcast, complete with soundtrack from here: http://www.kfog.com/kaboom/default.asp
They have it in several formats, including one for the i-pod.
