Great, just great

The navigation update is fantastic - far easier to use - but I am with you about how the content within each area is made available.

There should be one catch-all page that shows a list of posts, comments, etc. - sort of the personal portal of everything happening around you. (A redesigned VoxWatch page, or a merge of the VoxWatch page and the logged in home page).

And the groups content should be merged with the neighborhood, so there is one place to go to read posts from neighbors and groups.

Separate from that... the photo workflow still isn't what it should be. When I am viewing someone's photos and I click on a tag in the tag cloud, the darn thing should show me photos that have that tag - not take me to posts. I've been screaming about this one for two years now!

[this is good]
I agree with you, Patti. Except that I didn't mind the news feed so much and now that it's gone, I kind of miss it.
I've always thought VoxWatch was horrible. It's a good idea, but it doesn't give you enough information. I want to see the whole bloody post, so that I can read everything on one page without having to click each and every entry individually.

Make it easy for the user... don't make them work for it. The more work they have to do, the less they'll do it. I noticed this recently with RSS feeds-- there were a couple of things that I used to read on a daily basis, because they published full articles as part of their RSS feeds. When they did that, I'd read most of what they wrote because it was right there in front of my face. They switched to only giving excerpts in the RSS feed, and now I read maybe one article a month from them. It's only one more click to get the full article, but it's just not going to happen.
I agree with you on all of this.
